Abbey Placements has an immediate need for experienced CNC Machine Operators for a local manufacturing company in Fairbury, IL. Ideal candidates will have experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and/or machine centers.

Description of CNC Machine Operator

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings. (e.g. speed)
  • Load and unload material or parts into semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision measuring tools. (calipers, micrometers etc.)
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Full time, long-term position
  • 1st & 2nd shift positions
  • Overtime available
  • Regular reviews and raises

Requirements of CNC Machine Operator

  • Must have experience operating CNC machines
  • Must have reliable transportation, position is NOT on a bus line
  • Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check
  • Reliable work history with good references required

Compensation of CNC Machine Operator

  • $12-$16 per hour
